Awesome- I don't know why I didn't notice this before. Architosh have released a press release on Bonzai too;
http://architosh.com/2009/06/bo...-available-for-download/ I can't work out though how much Bonzai costs. Any ideas?

                I beta tested the program for quite a while. It is quite good, but not something I would use for my own modeling.

I did not crash with the program (started testing with first beta). Only problems in that area where due to my not allowing it internet access which caused close down.

I have and can use FormZ, but it is a program I have never felt comfortable with.
Since the early betas of version 1, I have used Rhino as my main app for work projects.

Why not? Have you tried it? SC was designed in the shadow of Sketchup. Even Autodesk Inventor has push/pull tools just like Sketchup. Why should Bonzai3D be any different? This software has just been released. It's dual platform, and that's great news too. Lets see how it matures.

BZ is specific, it is intended for certain function and will not surpass that with added functions/tools.
I/ others attempted to have other tools added, but it was obvious of its direction. For them to add more tools/functions is not an incentive to upgrade to FormZ. (maybe version 2 will advance, but only in certain direction)

Form Z was the first modelling package I tried- it confused me totally, but then I was completely new to CAD. Out of every package I have played with, Shark, in theory, is easily the quickest. The problem though is if you don't get things in exactly the right order, your screwed (or so it seems). Could it just be that Shark is over complicated (as well as having those bugs?)?
Jol, you do know that Alias Design Studio, now runs on Mac OS?

Tom,
I have no problem if specific ordering is needed for a function/tool to work, however, such needs full/correct documentation, it also need to be consistent, which VC shark is not (currently).
I can normally pick up a cad and very easily adjust to the needs of the package, but VC is like a spoilt child at times and very unpredictable.
Dont get me wrong. I like VC and will be using it for a long time, but that does not mean I like its unpredictability or the many crashes I have, I just like the package for home use. Anyway, I have a tank to build :)
