Hi!

I'm trying to make a chamfer on an object edge. I usually left the "automatic chain-select of shared-edges" activated in the chamfer option.
This is because it works well if it calculate all the edge at once. If I use the chamfer edge by edge it makes a lot of mistakes.

The problem is that I can't stop it. I mean: I don't know how to stop it.
For example: I have an object with 4 sides and 4 rounded corner. I want to make the chamfer on 4 rounded corner but only 3 sides, leaving 1 side untouched.

Can I do it in some way ?

Thanks in advance!

I think you need to do unselect chain select and select the three edges you want. For some reason, the feature interaction (slower) forces some blends that you get an error but I could not quite understand that option.

That's a tricky one as it does not know how to terminate the chamfer.

You may need to use a combination of tools to get the desired result. Attached is example file and image of a possible solution using chamfer, offset, and blend.

Great to see you participate Tim.

Maybe a better solution would be to do the cube first without rounded edges and do the chamfer on three sides first without chain select and then round the edges for the kill.
