When I go to manually set the length/width of lines or rectangles, most of the time the object will move off point and I will have to move it back to the point of start. Very frustrating when trying to line up with points and modify the length. I waste a lot of time going back and dbl checking to see if it moved and then move it back to where it needs to be. It doesn't happen every time but a lot.

Hello
What is moving the start point or the end point of the line? The line should shorten or lengthen by changing the end point. Where are you changing the length?(Inspector or at the top?) You can right click on a line and show direction to see the vector direction.
What version and build number are you using? You can see this in the Help--> About
Regards
Jason

The whole line or rectangle moves. I know its supposed two change the end typically but its not just x or y directions either, at an angle not far just far enough to screw up my plans. I'm on Ver. 11 build 1417 now but it has done it the last two versions. I've just been hoping they would solve it in updates.

Having issues trying to attach any file or pic on this forum??? I just tried a new drawing and drew a line, then clicked on the endpoint made another line. then I corrected the length of that line and it moved the start point of the line up and left. if you click back on the line it still recognizes the original start point???? move it back connected to the endpoint and the start point x,y still stays the same as the original????
