We've come such a long way and for this I'm very grateful - but ...

I find it sad - almost 20 years later !!! - that I'm still frustrated by some fundamentals

(Basic stuff seems silly and unimportant - after all, there are easy work-arounds, right ... but if it forms part of a complex part history - your whole model goes tits-up)

... And why should I and others waste time reporting issues multiple times ??? Surely having this stuff reported even once is a gift to the developers

I'd like to see more progress on foundational issues - and thus we'd have a smoother workflow ... and hopefully a more robust and useful part history
