for some reason, everytime I try to draw a line or much of anything else, the screen goes black and all I see is points on the screen. I can get it lighted back up if I hit the esc key but then I am back out of the line drawing. Is there a problem in my set-up. Also as I move the cursor, it leaves marks all over the drawing.

I am new to this program, and am getting really irritated with it all.

Version 8

That sounds like you are using an older version of ViaCAD on Win8 or Win10. Microsoft changed the way OpenGL works with 2D graphics which broke the LogiCursor implementation.

Could this not be the reason as to why I and others get flashing screens, white outs, black outs and vanishing images even though the image border is still present?

So Is there a way to fix this, or am I stuck with it? Of course I bought this online, so am stuck with the program.\

Hi Aaron
Development wise I won't be able to update the older version to a newer OS. I think your options are:
--Run the product with Windows 7
--Upgrade to v9 (contact Encore and see if they can do something to help out)
--Return the product

>>Of course I bought this online,
Did you buy this recently and where? If so, I can ask Encore to inform the seller they need to mak the OS requirements clear.
