ideas or help creating an unusual solid is being sought. imagine a NACA airfoil section on a XY-plane and half of a different NACA section in a matching YZ-plane. the section in the XY-plane can be "skinned" using the half-section in the YZ-plane to form a low drag blister. after a little work transforming the surface to a solid and adding a tapered fillet around the perimeter, you'd have a very nice low speed fairing. the solid I need help creating is a similar fairing only the base surface is NOT flat but instead a curved surface with a constant radius. does Shark have the capability to map flat dimensioned/defined feature (ie: the NACA section coordinates) onto a curved surface OR the functionality to bend/wrap a solid about a defined axis?? or should I just get a copy of Excel out and do the coordinate transformations.....?
thanks in advance for any ideas or help creating the unusual solid!

There is a tool that bends a solid about an axis. You provide an axis, bend radius, bend angle.

OUTSTANDING ; thanks for your post!!! where do I find the tool and the definitions for the three variables.

This is the bend tool located with the fillet/chamfer palette.

That is AeroPack, an add-on sold by
darcorporation that integrates with their aircraft analysis tools. I used it to create a naca airfoil.

                Tim-
one more question: how is bend radius defined for asymmetric sections (ie: a tapered triangular beam for discussion purposes)? ...geometric center??
