If I do the following, ViaCad v6 build 786 PC version, crashes quite reliably.

Go to File>Import and select DWG/DXF and click OK. Select Desktop or My Documents and then position the mouse pointer within the file selection box for a few seconds, but don't select anything. Click Cancel.

Repeat the above but don't reselect Desktop or My Documents, just move the pointer in the selection box and it crashes (for me on 2 systems).

I've lost quite a bit of work this way and it seems to do the same with various other file import types besides DWG/DXF.

It looks like a consecutive entry to the same file selector box directory is what causes it.

I'm running Xp with service pack 3.

All the best, Martin.

Can't repeat on Mac OS X.

Personally I think this says more about how crap Windose XP SP3 is rather than another bug in ViaCAD?! ;)

Despite its looks, MS Vista is a better OS than XP. I don't have VC for XP SP2 so I can't check this crash either.

I have seen crash on xp with dwg/dxf export, too. I have never seen or repeat this in Vista.
