I have modeled a solid in Rhino and imported into VC by SAT. I wasn't sure of the proper way to 'extract edges' from the solid so my method was to extrude a planar face and then explode curve which didnt effect the original model..ok. Perhaps someone can tell me how it should be done pls?

The curves & solid are in the file attached but when I offset the curves they lose any kind of resolution and default to nothing ??. I have looked at the curve and there are only two points so maybe this is why, so then this has to be set up again. Shouldnt the properties be carried over when the object is offset?

Any ideas guyz?

Did you try the project curve to plane tool, maybe this will give you what you want? What do you want to use the edges of the solid for once you get them.

Hi J,

That projection works well with planar curves purp to the the Workplane...but see the attached model and the blue solid. If you project all those curves to CPL you get lots of error messages but in the end it does it:confused: ..why is that?

In addition to above, I would like to see an addition in the software for selecting and/or deleting duplicates like in the result I got.

TIA:)
