Both us as designers and you as developers After 8 years dealing with you guys, I still don't get why they don't test stuff DING DONG ! TIME TO GET IT RIGHT IGS export to SolidWorks 2007 SP0 & SP5 does NOT work at all although open cover.igs from the examples folder, and it opens fine in SW IGS import to Rhino 3 & 4 and SprutCAM imports surfaces at the right size and solids 25.4 times too big .. THAT'S JUST SHIT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A slice through an compound model exported as igs DOES NOT retrim correctly in Rhino or SPRUT (our CAM product) .. and looks like the dog's been chewing it. I can't cut from data like this Meanwhile we concrete our reputation for getting this stuff WRONG with our SolidWorks etc peers ! TIME FOR ACTION .. NO MORE 25.4 ERRORS .. PUT TOGETHER A SET OF SIMPLE TESTS AND .. TEST IT - B4 YOU SHIP IT !!!!!

Rank: Senior Member Joined: 4/1/2007(UTC) Posts: 1,583 Was thanked: 2 time(s) in 2 post(s)		Yup, sorry Tim- Jol's right. I tried this the other day, using IGES export from ViaCAD and all I got was a blank screen in Solidworks 2007 (SP2). Otoh, export of STEP files, worked okay.

I'll wait a little bit before installing. Thanks Jol.
