Can any tell why if I bisect a circle with a straight line and then use the trim tool the whole circle disappears? It seems to be hit and miss, sometimes the circle disappears sometimes only half disappears which is what I want to happen. Thanks Jim

Maybe, a surface that both intersects and lies outside the sphere could be used to trim the sphere into 2 hemispheres, of course deleting the par that you don't want.

I'm guessing that you have the line or circle at a different Z level or depending which plane you drew it. The program normally prompts you.

I started drawing everything from 2 points that were in the same plane. I think lines and circle are in the same plane. The reason I only want half a circle but most of the time when I try and draw an arc it doesn't want to lay flat on the plane it seems to be at an angle or upright. Thanks Jim

Yes above/behind the surface to intersect and cut.
