I built the solid with 2 covers and 1 ruled surfaces, before stitching (you know, skin solid doesn't work for that...)
The display is ugly, whatever resolution setting.

In the Stitch Options, click simplify spline surfaces to analytics that makes a nice round edge. Also, use the surface edge instead of the curves. Not sure why it comes this way. Punch fix this.

Fixed in next builds. But you will need to have the Precise Facets option checked. Tim
