the following Apple webpage shows the levels of OpenGL support offered by various video graphics that run on Mac OS X: Apple OpenGL Capabilities Tables might be helpful to look at before for making purchase decisions. Is there such a big difference between the mobile GPU's and desktops? My MBP 2.2 uses an Invidia GeForce 8600M GT. The 8600 looks like it has pretty good support, but there is no mention of the M. I'll assume it is close enough. Which ATI mobile card did you get stuck with in your laptop?
