I almost bailed out of this article, but decided to keep going. I happened upon this image, then wondered if the math experts ever used CAD, exported a file to a mesh format, tried to reimport to another app, then ended up with meshes needing repairing.
Strikethrough Gods, I absolutely hate that the image attachment methodology of this forum makes a fool of me because I don't regularly log in to post. I can't figure out how to attach the screenshot of the image in the article. The damned thing keeps asking for the URL or URI...

It's the one with gaps between nodes, among the last few such in the article.
