In V14 Viacad pro, if you save a new view, the new view only works until you close Viacad.

When you go into work the next morning and reopen your cad file, right click, click on views, and select any of the views you saved, your saved views will be way zoomed out, and not usable.

It would be very helpful if this function worked correctly.

It is the same in V12.

I use Shark, but I'm guessing it works for ViaCad. If you set your views up and save it as Startup.dat in the root directory of Shark/Viacad they will be there when you open it.

Most user-defined views are specific to the file and are not needed in other files.

Really. Why even make such a comment? This is why I hate forums. It depends on your application.
We do a lot of CAD for a CNC lathe applications, and lathes always work with the Z axis in the horizontal and the X axis in the vertical. This is the same for every single part made, so saving "lathe" view is important.

>>select any of the views you saved, your saved views will be way zoomed out, and not usable.

It should not only save the view orientation but the exact scale and zoom. Will check...
