I am using Viacad pro 10 and since the last major windows upgrade it doesn't seem to want to print JPEGs. It still prints PDFs but it doesn't seem to close properly.
The PDF creator dialogue doesn't shut in the background needing a forced shutdown of viacad to get to that dialogue box, but its still not shut properly and is unstable.
I am wondering if its because the translators from Via cad pro 10 is getting old or just particular to my set up.
I can print JPEGs using the PDF creator program from word but not Viacad.

Using the export selected as a JPEG from viacad is not working properly either and exports the entire drawing not only the selected part, I never used to use this way to print JPEGs, so I don't know if it ever worked.

We use the JPEGs to insert them directly into word documentsas Word doesn't seem to have the abillity to insert PDFs into a document

The attached screen shot is the window that is in the background and not he actual PDF creator dialogue window where you can select destinations and file-saving options.

Also on another note

We have been using PDF creator since Shark 7 as it came prepackaged with Shark.
Initially it was free, but I have ended up paying for licenses the last 4 or 5 years.

This last time was 43 euros.
Does anyone else know of another program that does the same job?

Any tips appreciated.

you may try PDF24 Creator, its free and does the job: https://tools.pdf24.org/en/creator
I never had problems with the latest version...!

I use edocprint pro. I used also PDF-Creator but was going back to edocprint.

But i have no idea what jpg you are printing.

What are you inserting into word? 2D, 3D


To get better objects into word print to pdf file and then use adobe reader (free) to open and copy the image you want with the snapshot tool in adobe and paste into word. Turn off lineweights and paste special into word as a metafile not bmp

If you want to go straight to word can also try exporting as SVG not bmp and make a file and insert into word. When you use the VC export select all the objects you want then use the export command and be sure to check the export selected only box.
