So I just purchased Viacad Pro for my shop. I needed to dimension a series of holes at an angle. I tried creating a rotated work plane in the viewport and using ordinate dimensions, but nothing doing. I ended up dimensioning the part on the model itself and copying those dimensions into the viewport.

Does anyone have any suggestions on rotating workplanes in viewports or rotating running or ordinate dimensions in viewports?

The Dimensioning Tools are only 2D, you need to make a working plane for each Face or it will not work.

To make this right, you dont need User defined Working Planes, you need just User Views. Create a User View for this Plane. This User-View can you select in the Draw View in the MTS and then can you make the Dimensions you need. I made this already, this works. You need this always for all dimensions which not perpendicular to the xyz axis. Go in the Draw View in the Button left Top of the Draw View and select Change View and select your User defined View of the Plane you need. If the View in the Draw View correct, create the Dims you need.
