While not modeled in ViaCAD, I used Concepts Unlimited to convert the ProE file to SAT, and then with ViaCAD Pro, I added many bevels, combined parts, edited parts, added missing parts and organized the project. This device is made up of over 300 parts and the final version will be animated.
Rendered in ElectricImage v7

Anybody know why the SFX renderer struggles so much to achieve these soft shadows ? Hopefully V6 will see to that : |

Jol, I believe Tim will be activating atmospheric lighting (dome lighting) in Lightworks for Shark 6. this will allow you to achieve the kinds of shadows shown. Gary

Joev, did you have to stop because you were hit by an earthquake? ;) :p
Great little movie! Was this animation done in ElectricImage?
For all you Mac users out there, Cheetah3D is a brilliant little rendering/ modelling and animation suite, which works well with ViaCAD & Shark, using OBJ export. C3D is less than $100 to buy :)
example
here An animated walk through Steve's chess pieces would be very nice too! Steve? ;)

Yes, the animation is being done with ElectricImage v7 (v8 is expected soon). No earthquake, but a power failure during the night. Once the deadline has passed, I'll post the finished one.
