Hi Brian, >>Can the Bezier tool in ViaCad do corner points? Sorry, no corner points. Each curve must be tangent/G1 continuous. It's needed for our interface to ACIS. Blends, shells, chamfers, etc all fail on curves that are not G1 continuous. You would need to make each discontinuity a new curve.

It is one of the reasons why we treat each segment as a curve (and then group) for imported Illustrator data.

I'm new to viacad and was exploring the surfacing features. How do I stitch separate surfaces together or convert to a solid? And are there any third party plugins or resources for viacad? So far I really enjoy viacad but need some sort of advance turorial for your surfacing features. Thx.

>>How do I stitch separate surfaces together or convert to a solid? Use the Stitch tool which is located under the blend/chamfer tools and above the advanced transform tools. Select your surfaces and if they are closed, will form a solid. The surfaces act as a parent to the solid. If you have curves defining the surfaces, they act as parent to the surfaces. Changing a parent will update the child. It is aok to add features to the stitched solid, they will update as well when a parent is changed. (However, the volume must remain closed as you modify)
