Hi, Tim

The cut section tool keeps the associativity to a cut surface but not with a solid? Is this the limit of the section tool surface associativity only? Any chance of this working with solids in the future?

Thanks

Jason,
It should keep it. It did on my test. Is the Edit:Resolve Links item active?

Tim

The profile made from the cut section of a solid says is associative but does not update if you add a chamfer, fillet, boss that lies in the cut plane or use the face move, offset etc. It updates if you change the original length, width etc of the object but doesn't update for subsequent feature operations. Is this how the tool should work?

Thanks

Jason

I sincerely hope not...this would be a very useful tool if Tim can fix this up to be associative with the solids.

The cut link is being tied to that particular history node. It needs to be tied to the history container which would then include all subsequent operations.

Will look into.
