Hi,
When I export and re-import the surface on the left, it gets deformed (on the right).

I can't produce it. What's your system's configuration. See mines below.

I don't think it's linked to the configuration. This kind of things happens on any of my computers...
Did you try to import my step file ?

JL. Just so you don't think you're cracking up. I can confirm that I got the same thing as you when I tried your file yesterday... ...but today, it won't repeat :confused: Martin.

Hang on - possible solution :) When you Import this file, make sure you uncheck the Stitch Surfaces Into Solid option. On the other hand, if you Open the file, then it seems like ViaCAD/Shark does the the above automatically and you don't get the distortion. Martin.

First of all, the step file you posted appears to have two surfaces. You can see them when imported unstitched with different colors. When stitched checked, the two surfaces tend to combine thus you get that distortion.
