[SIZE="2"]I would like to ask other users using CU on OS X operating system whether they do any import and export of 2D DWG files and what the experience is.

I am sorry to say I find CU is still seriously lacking in this respect and far less able at this task than competing software and even shareware.
Was a problem in CU2, CU3 and is still there in CU4 as far as I can see.

I enclose some screenshots to point to the most obvious on import, if you can get the lines in ok, so is seldom the case with plain text or header info.

The CU4 659 SP3 screenshot from a barely two month old MacBook 17" and OSX 10.4.8. eDrawings screenshot same file on same machine, Autocad screenshot same file, same machine running Parallells and Windows XP and Acad.

Can you send us the dwg file? Interesting that the text is not showing up, as we do support text.

You mention 659, was that from the mac build we posted several days ago?

I have sent the DWG file in a separate e-mail.

This is the very last version you made avaiable yes;

The splash screen on the installer says build 658
The spalsh screen after installation completed says build 659

Why not use the build number in the file name for less confusion? i have learnt to have several versions of CU stored and filed under different names, because on installing a new version it would wipe clean all you own setting and materials.. I see you now do not overwrite the previous installation, but you still have to manually install all your own stuff. What about storing that in the user library instead?

The 659 build that was posted in this forum several days ago installs into a SP3 folder. You may want to make sure you have the correct build.

Dont worry, - by now I know a bit about CU installation routines...
This is the "SP3 build 659" downloaded and installed. Creation date the 16.february - see enclosed screenshots.

The DWG/DXF issues and problems was there in the 658 build, so i was naturally hoping this was now finally solved in your PS3 - 659 build..

It's uploaded and ready. Use the link from "Mac CU v4 Candidate Release" thread.
