Zoom/Pan within sheet viewport? (#4078)

Hi all - still a bit new here :)
I have a very tall / thin model that I am trying to convert to sheet view for manufacture :)
When I do model to sheet, it is tiny in all the viewports. I can adjust the scale via the properties diagloug box, but to adjust the position of the model in the window it seems I have to futz around resizing the window - as opposed to just zoom/pan within the viewport.
Is there a way to zoom / pan inside one of the viewports? Or all of them simultaneously?
Thank you
S_

Select-activate the desired viewport, right click on it/Zoom Extents that way your part will fit on the viewport frame size or frame to extents to adjust the viewport frame size to the scale of the part Luis G.

Thanks - I'm working with the zoom to extents - but this seems a bit clunky. I can only seem to move a viewport with the translation tool? The translation tool does not allow me to latch onto points withint the viewport to align to the other viewports? Thoughts? gracias :)

Argggg --> How do you move a viewport? Can't seem to grab the red-dashed box with either of the arrows to move it. It keeps either wanting to resize the box, or grab the items inside! Help :P

Hi Ethan
To move the view you need to move you mouse over a side of active view not at red blocks
To stretch side of view activate view and move mouse over 1 of the red blocks
If you right click on the little red box at top left of view you can use the align to align views.

Thank you -> I have no idea why that seemed so difficult!

I'm still super frustrated with this. My model is 300cm tall and about 3cm wide. So when I create the viewports I™m seeing only the middle of my model. What I would like to do is to be able to activate the viewport and then zoom/pan within the view, such that I can the pertinente part of the model visible. Is this possible?

This is where my proposition of a 'rip tool' would really come in handy? :)

Septemous, there is no zoom/pan features on model to sheet viewport, however, you can modify the objects scale in order to fit the needs of your drawing, and this are the options you have:
- Select the view port, then right click or click the up-left rectangle and then you have two choices:
1.- Zoom extents, that modify your viewport scale so the objects are fitted on the actual size of the viewport
2.- Frame to extents, that modify your view port size to fit all the object contents on it.
- You also can modify the scale for the viewport properties window if you select properties option, so you can adjust the scale to a desirable size of your page print size
- You can also move or resize the viewport window size by click-draw corner or middle points on its window frame once you select and activate the viewport window
see this video, it should help you to enlight a little bit more the way that model to sheet works on shark-viacad interface.
