First love never fades. ACIS based Electricimage Modeler (EIM) was buggy but the interface was sexy, the toolset was powerful and I never stopped missing the layer palette.

Now it's back as of march 2008, just announced. It will probably not be a serious competitor in the industrial design arena. But if Shark were dressed like this it would be world class. Hopefully Tim & co can get some inspiration from it.

Layer palette redesign, pleeease...

No announcement on pricing, only that it will be back next year. I doubt that it will be $99!.

EIM has a lot of catching up to do, it will be interesting to see what is released.
