Guys,

How do you blend the inner and outer corners of a square frame to be of the same constant thickness as the portions that are straight? When I blend the inner corner and outer corners, I get a bulge of varying thickness. Is this possible with the blend tool? Any takers! Here a pic!

The outer radius = the inner radius + the thickness. Is this what you mean.

Not exactly what I imagined but this would do. I might just waist a few more brain cells this way. I thought there was some function or button to click instead of calculating myself. Thanks for the help.

You could draw the outline of the shape and use the Offset tool on it, then Extrude both to get a solid.

I don't want to sound patronising, but how hard is it to solid fillet the inner faces to the radius you want, then solid fillet the outer faces to (the same radius plus the thickness)?!?! I don't know what product you are using, but if its ViaCad, for the price I don't mind exercising my brain just a little.

Extrude the outer profile with external blend to preference, then shell to the width of the frame, deleting the major faces.

I like your approach since I can change the radius and the wall thickness on the fly and don't have to calculate it myself. You just saved me a few brain cells. Thanks.
