I wish the Gripper had a way to accept user-chosen functions to act on to obviate using the menus and shortcuts and right-click operations. I suppose holding Shift or another user-decided key could act as an overlay or filter to the left-click selection.

These would be shown on the Gripper or near it in the form of cues during selection.

Some I'm thinking of at the moment:

— Control points coincidence check

— Curve parallel check

— Previewing or unhiding any and or all geometry related to or touching or within a given distance of the current selection (even of the objects are on layers turned off; just make the preview non-state impacting unless the user commits the state change), with the option to temporarily hide anything outside of a user-defined range. So, basically, a beam or sphere see through feature.

Just some ideas.
