Hey all, I've been using ViaCAD since Version 9 and this has been a running theme. We are on Version 15 of ViaCAD and can we seriously still not convert a complex mesh to solid? Eleven years and five new versions yet nothing has changed for converting to solid? Please tell me I don't have to continue exporting my files to TinkerCAD to perform tasks not possible in ViaCAD.

Oh, Version 16 was released. Didn't even realize that - was too busy with work at the time. I assume it still has the 3k facet limit?

ViaCAD/Shark got better mesh booleans V11/V12, it's not the same as V9. It might not handle as high facet numbers as TinkerCAD, but you can add and subtract mesh objects for protrusions and cutouts, CAD-wise, although no concept explorer/feature/history tree, and not the same sophistication for remeshing as analytic or NURBs CAD solids - then again, nor does TinkerCAD.
