How to uninstall from Mac? (#2161)

Actually, just need all of the install locations...installed my own license on a work computer, and now need to completely remove it. I dumped the app folder, and then searched for "ViaCAD" and "Punch!" and deleted anything related there. Anywhere else I should look (I couldn't find this topic in the Punch! Support area when searching "Uninstall")? Thanks! Dexter OS X 10.4.11, ViaCAD

Dexter, Just drag your application to the trash. Simple as that. You may also want to remove your preferences file from your local directory? (search for this in Spotlight :) ).

ttrw, Thanks for the quick response! As I mentioned, I already deleted the app and some folders in the home directory, etc. But, there are files strewn throughout the system, and I think I got 'em all...but hoping for a complete list to be sure. Thanks again, D

Don't tell me you've been fired too?
Sounds like you've done the right thing with the removal. You can always reformat the drive :) I'm sure Tim will give you a new s/n and cancel the other? :)

Tim It would be nice to have a layout showing the default file paths showing where all files are installed, maybe in a PDF? Thanks! Tem

Guys, it's really easy to find and chuck stuff out just by using Spotlight (I don't know about Windows ). I don't know if there is any real need for an extra pdf? :)

In some apps, the mac installer tells where everything goes, if not installed right in the app. That's useful. Just reopen the installer (if there isn't an uninstaller) and find and delete. Spotlight is good when you know what the files are named, but if something arbitrary slips in, it will be mucking up the filesystem because you can't find it!
