As mentioned in the description. I make a circle and go to push the circle using the push pull tool but it only extrudes and doesn't make a hole. Never had this problem before, so now I'm stuck at this point because I can no longer make holes other than from a circle in the 2d drawing. At this point the software is completely useless if I can't make holes where needed. Mac OS Sonoma 14.2.1 Viacad 14.1 build 1641.

Hi Truggy I'm a windows user so cant help you there. Not sure if this helps. As a workaround until it gets sorted. Perhaps extrude a cylinder. Align it with the circle on the solid and use the subtract tool to create the hole you want. Not ideal but keeps you moving.

Hi Truggy,
I'm using the same OS, but I never use the Push Pull tool to make holes, just this one "CutOut Solid", which takes any closed planar group and makes a hole through a solid for a given direction ("z" in my case).

Hi Truggy,
I'm using Sharkcad v14.0 build (1625)
PowerPacked
Windows
Sometimes I had the same problem
After using: Tools-Snap-
Face on to draw the circle to push-pull it works great for me.
But the answer from 24c also does the job...
Good luck, Theo

You will have to draw the circle on the surface, dead on. After, you select the circle and then use the push-pull and it should do the negative instead of extruding. That's how I know it.

It seems to work for me (tested on Mac OS Sonoma 14.2.1 SharkCad 14.1. OBS with buiild 1645. But sometimes I have to select both the face and the circle with the select tool before it will extrude. Extrude works in both directions - no problem with holes. kind regards Danny

I ended up closing the program and reopening it and it works now, but unfortunately I'm having a more severe problem now w/ my models will just disappear without a trace when zooming out. I'm not zooming out so far that I can't see the model but the second I start to zoom out the model just dissapears. This has happened twice now.
