Is there a way to make an accurate countersink other than using the chamfer tool? Eg: a m3 FHS has a countersink of 90 degrees. ViaCad 14, build 1624, Mac OS Ventura 13.2. Thanks.

In SharkCAD you have this tool, not sure if it's in ViaCAD (it should be) and in the "status" bar you can edit the countersink properties

Yea I have that tool for viacad but it doesn’t work. It just removes a chunk of the part in a different area or I get an error message.

If you've already made a hole, then the chamfer tool is your only option, unless you write over the existing hole.
I must admit I find the descriptive names quite confusing, but the first three boxes relate to your hole size and the next two relate to the counterbore or countersink details. The last one is the drill point angle eg 118º or whatever (if zero it is flat bottomed hole)
Most of the time I am doing a through hole... so here are a few screenshots showing how each box relates, the last one is a blind hole using a 118º pointed drill
I did see this documentation from ViaCAD 12
http://docs.imsidesign.com/projects/ViaCAD-V12/ViaCAD-V12/Welcome/Solid-Modeling/Feature-Based-Solid/ Hopefully you'll get the idea from the screenshots.

I believe you place the outside diameter of the countersink where it says countersink, and the inside diameter where it says diameter. Also, there is a spot to place the angle of the countersink hole, and a few more options. It is a tad bit confusing. Other than that it is like the simple hole tool...pick a face and place the hole.
