Hi All,

I just purchased ViaCAD 14 and was hoping the bug with viewing canvas to be gone. And it is for now. But now the redrawing speed of the screen is terrible. Just open a new document and try to create a circle. That simple and you will see the lag in the new drawing engine.

Here is a link to a video that shows the lag issue. Keep in mind video is 30fps in order to see the issue better. And for those that does not see the issue, well watch how slow the circle follows the mouse 😉

Is this a new bug?

Is the current released v14 still alpha or beta? If it went through a QA team, then I suggest to Encore to get a new QA team asap. That said, some problems show up due to end-user configuration, so I hope these bugs are washed out before Win version is released by QA.

No. The 2D drafting is a little bit laggy. Also the dimensions are slow. This is a old bug. But it's no bug, it is a feature.... The Software is single threaded and maybe it will be faster with a better CPU. The live animation while drafting have no hardware support for graphic cards, so you need just a good CPU. Maybe it help also when you change the power saving mode of the CPU.
