When I convert this text to lines, I end up with jagged lines. How do I smooth this before cutting on the cnc?

Hello

Try using the Arcs from curve tool in the arc toolbar
So all the entities become arcs for smooth cnc cutting.

Jason

I was able to find the Simplify Curves tool which didn't work, but not the Arcs from curves. Could you tell me where it's located? Thanks

Thank you for the reply, I'm using ViaCAD so it appears I don't have that tool.

Do you set the text resolution to super fine before you convert to lines?

Did you use the right mouse button on the Text for context-menu Resolution. The Text resolution will be always down, also when your global setup is "super fine". Convertet you the Text to curves or Lines? Use just the CAD-Kas Software is my suggestion.

Speculating, don't know if this'll make a difference, but is there a difference if you scale the text up with the resolution set super fine, convert to lines, then scale back down again?

I ended up using inkscape for the text then importing the dxf into VC to finish the part. I appreciate everyone's replies.
