It looks like I'm going to have to do some work from home for a little while. I want to transfer the license for ViaCAD Pro to my mac laptop from my work iMac. I emailed support and they told me to first uninstall the application on my work machine, then install it on the laptop using the same serial number.

That's fine except there is no "uninstall" on the mac like there is on Windows. So can I just install on the macbook but only use one copy at a time?

Thanks. We got it straightened out. You don't need to uninstall anything, I'm not sure why they said you do. On Windows, there's typically an uninstaller application that (should) uninstall hidden files that the application makes, and often license keys are one of those. On the mac, those kinds of files are typically stored in various Library folders, kind of like preferences. They're created by the application, but without an uninstaller application to explicitly delete them, deleting the application itself would leave those behind. I was confused because the instructions I was given from tech support said to uninstall. Turns out it's not necessary. I'm running it on my laptop at home now and it's still installed on my machine at work (though of course, I'm only in one place at a time so there aren't multiple copies running.
