I would like to introduce myself.

My name is Steve Maynard-Smith from down here in Christchurch, New Zealand. I work in the electronics industry as a day job and from home I design PCB test fixtures, robots etc. My day job I use CREO and SolidWorks with the CNC machining center I use VISI CADCAM 2020 - possibly the only person in New Zealand using it other than the agent. At home I use TurboCADCAM Platinum where I am also a BETA tester for the products - CAD and CAM. I also BETA test DesignCAD and create tutorials sold via IMSI.

CREO is new to me having only used it now for 18 months but have redrawn from paper drawings a Bolton triple expansion engine to get my head round it in detail. I have found CREO very similar to TurboCAD. I will dig an image out to post.

DesignCAD, been involved with this since version 7.
TurboCADCAM since version 9 and taken to the 'darkside' by Maurtiz Botha when I visited IMSI in Novato many years ago.
SolidWorks for the last 20 years. Still use it, but not a Certified SolidWorks Professional. Certified to Advance level.
CREO (again the 'darkside') for the past 18 months. I do like CREO.
Shark version 11 - a virgin so to speak. I will ask questions so be gentle with me.

Away from CAD, I am the Motorcycling New Zealand Technical Steward for both road-racing and off road. I own a 1980 Kawasaki KZ650F1 and enjoy travel.

Thanks.
