Anyone here do training? I'm struggling with primitives. I'm struggling with push/pull. I could go on.

I need to design square and rectangular tubing frames. The best function I've found is primitives. But I'm open to any way that is less painful.

Some of the issues I have are:

block primitive 3 point diagonals- it doesn't usually place the block at the point I chose. When I type a number, the part extrudes often in the negative direction. But not always.

Screen share and/or phone?

Thanks,

Timothy

Hi Timothy

>>>I need to design square and rectangular tubing frames.
Have you tried the pipe tool? Select centerline and pick either circle or rectangular section and specify wall thickness.

Thanks for the suggestion Tim. But I don't think that's gonna work for me (and I can't find it). I want to use an edge rather than center.

if you need a cutlist you need to make every single part from the frame also with the miter. For symmetrical parts you can use later the mirror tool. Maybe i make a video how it works, but you need alot tools for this like the extrude tool and some Tools for cutting the miter (place a infinite plane in the right position and split the solid and delete the Sektion.
