The more I use ViaCAD the buggier it seems. I don't know if the issue is my Mac or something else, but now all of a sudden, whenever I use Dynamic Rotate, the entire window goes white and no amount of zooming out shows me where I am. the only way to get back to my model is to change the view to a predefined one, like Isometric, or Front. But then if I try to rotate the part, boom, everything disappears again.
Is this a known issue? It was working fine for me for a few days and now this.
If I make a new test project I can dynamic rotate all I want. but there's something about my project that's now broken and I can't figure out what it is.
Any ideas?

I sent the project file to tech support and was told it's corrupted beyond repair and that I'll have to start over. There goes 4 days work...

Welcome to the world of VIACAD! You know that's probably a little bit harsh, or maybe not. Have a read through some other posts there's a lot of bugs. You need to be careful with everything you do. Try and avoid undo where possible, half the time undo doesn't undo correctly and everything turns to sh@t. Report a bug and you may have it resolved you may not. The company seems to have had a move around and now nothing happens. We used to get updates, report a bug and a new build came out a day or so later, now f@ck all and plenty of it.

Copy and paste the model to a new file. Delete the history. (File> Compact> "Remove History" and "Purged Deleted") Compact your file every half hour and save it. And do not use groups, make all with layers.

Thanks MPSchmied !
I learned something with your post.
I was wondering why my files were getting bigger and bigger and and I realize now all the deleted stuff stays forever unless I use the "file>Compact" command.
By doing this the file I'm now working on reduced from 211 Mb to...4.4Mb !
It means that saving time changed from 30 sec to...1 sec !!!!!
In the past, a "save as" with pref "save compact file" was enough tu purge deleted.
Something wrong must have happened in code.
On my side I don't "remove history" but I limit it by construction on my files (I make incremental layers, each with history limited to simple operations)

You mean you didn't enable backups?
I wasn't aware it was an option. Which begs the question - why isn't it enabled by default? Also, where is this turned on and off? All I can find in the preferences is auto-save.

Auto-save saves to the backup folder. This can be reached from the file menu.

Yes, but this removes the history, and coverts everything to an ascii solid.
A better way that preserves the history is:
Show all Layers
Show all Hidden
Select All
Export to ViaCad/Shark with 'Selected Only' selected.
If a new file name is not provided then close the file
without saving and reopen it. Otherwise, close the file and open the newly created one.
