Hello I am new to the software. I made a couple designs using the 2d and I am trying to figure out to be able to print a paper copy of the file. I tried to print as pdf but it gets cut off. Sorry guys, total newbie here. Thanks for the help.

Hi,
I always use "Model to sheet" tool for printing.
You can have as many views as you want. Each view can be lines or solid render...
Page setup any format...

I guess he dont want to use model to sheet for his 2d Drawing. I use it sometimes also for 2D Drawings, but this have only to do with my size of the dimensions. You can also use File> Page layout , but then you need abnormal sizes for the dimensions. Better you copy the drawing in a draw view and set your Scale only in the draw view and not in the Page layout, then can you everytime using the same size for dimensions and text siue and you should use then Pixel sizes for line weights.
