Hi, I've just acquired a CNC mill, aka an old knee mill with some CNC adaptions/conversions. Yes, it works X & Y motions are fine, but the Z axis aka "knee" lift is not clever, and I fancy I'lll be doing a quill conversion, with a gearbox "knee" lift I also have a manual version of the same mill, so I have my work cut out, but it's a toe in the water approach for now, and allows me to dabble. :) I'm curious if anybody has any CAM recommendations. Obviously lower cost would be a start, and ability to talk to Mach3Mill would be an advantage. This is a work in progress, as I intend to upgrade the mill, to make it more precise & capable. Mike

You can try
CamBam . It's quite easy to use with Mach3.
