Let be simple about what i'm thinking. My current computer I use for main cadding is.
1800x 3.6 ghz NO OCING HERE!!!! YEA YEA I could try but why break warrenty.
16 gig 2400 ram
RX 480 8 gig
1 SSD OS
2 HHD 2 TB 1 gaming and general storage / 1 Cad and storage of my designs and programs.

Now I was thinking of a upgrade so my computer could cad better I was thinking of getting a station card to add to my computer. Anything like this out my realm expertize. I upgrade my computers about once a year the 480 I want keep in the machine and have a station card in it as well. So I have a few questions like to ask.

1. Would Shark LT 10 benefit from a station card?
2. Could I get like radeon pro what ever to work my current card installed.
3. What would be a good cad for a decent prefromance and be reliable. I want be able to use my shark LT more smoothly do Vert counts and points. I'm far from a professional.

My computer here serves as my gaming and my fun cading machine.

what CPU?

meant (work)station graphics card?

Shark does not benefit from CAD graphics cards series (nVidia Quadro, AMD FirePro), go for a GeForce GTX (better OpenGL support than Radeon series), e.g. a GTX 1050Ti or a GTX 1060.

Performance Comparison

LOL What CPU LOL
1800x is amd ryzen
Got love a CPU war already out date in less then a year!!!

I have no want to or need to upgrade then if shark doesn't benfit from a station card. My 480 will keep doing it job. No point in stepping sideways for a video card.

the AMD Ryzen 7 1800X does not provide a good single-thread performance which is required for CAD systems (running modeling operations on 1 kernel only), upgrading to a high-clocked intel i5/i7 can double the performance (e.g. i7-8700K).

The driver of the AMD Radeon series is optimized for gaming and known for a flaky OpenGL support required by CAD systems, if screen artefacts do arise switch to a GeForce GTX.

ah, *LOL*
