I'm trying to model a twisted rope, best I can do is a twisted square.
Would appreciate any help.

Forgot to mention, this is a Mission Critical Project,
part of a 3D print job for my Grandaughter.

You can send a helix around a diameter. Then sketch up the shape you need and set aside a good few hours for tweaking :-)

Ha ha, yeah well maybe a few more. I've had a quick play, and because you can allow intersections with the solid sweep, that worked better than the surface sweep. Adjusted thw pitch and such, and you can get something close to what you're looking at, but that's when the tweeky starts :-)

just a suggestion..
used "explode curve" tool 4 times on the 4 edges of the twisted object. next make the ropes by pipe tool to the 4 resulting curves

FYI - the tweak tool is located right below the style filter
