Hi,
Try as I may, I cannot discover how to move the _origin_ of a hatch object (not the polygon around it). The purpose is to show a specific tile layout, (e.g. literal position of tiles, not just symbolic)
Any tips?
Cheers!

Are you using Edit>Show Points?

HI, yes I have tried that (after selecting the hatch object only), but after 'show points' is selected, no points appear selectable with a selection window.
The only points I seem to be able to select are the related polygon points. If I move that polygon the hatch origin looks like it shifts, but then if I move the polygon back where it needs to be located the hatch return to previous, so the real origin has not actually shifted.

[also, it is viacad 2d]

Fred

Why are you moving the hatch? Can you give an example of what you want to accomplish?

Thanks

Show Points will make visible the hatch region marker which can be moved to identify the region to hatch. Useful for curves with multiple hatch regions.

HI, thanks everyone for trying to help.

I am trying to 'move the origin of a hatch' so that my large tile layout starts from a particular point, in this case one full edge.
The hatch layout it dictated by the origin of the overall world. Normally we can have different floor layouts where the tile grid needs to have it's own origin for each room. I don't want to show cut tiles where I want full tiles.

This needs to work efficiently for an irregular shape (screenshots below as examples where I want to change the tile set out point for each tiles room, so that tiles are centred on a room, or have full tile at leading edge)
