So I'm trying to rotate a part around a point which I have set up. The images show the point. I move the gripper to the point by selecting USER POSITIONED from the 'Attach' drop down. I then select the part to rotate and swing it round as I please using the gripper. That's fine but if I type in an angle to rotate by nothing happens?

I just tried with a cube and line, set the origin at the midpoint of the line, selected both,
entered an angle, and hit enter, and the cube moved the number of degrees.
Your model is way more complicated than the line and cube. Don't know if this will help.

Crazy! I've just tried it again and it's worked fine? Maybe it had a breakdown earlier! :-)
