Morning, I wanted to test the catia v5 and NX functions of shark, with a view to buy it, but the trial download doesn't have the function to do it? How can I test it please? I want to look at how the history is stored in the files once imported/exported. Thanks

Catia v.5 files import as an ACIS solid, didn't have an NX file to try.

Here is the exported Catia v5 file. Just remove the .sfx extension.

The only options are Selected Only, which is the one I sent.
Checked file size without Selecting, same as with Select.
Multi file produces an error, probably because of just one object.

Spatial is also Dassault Systemes, so CATIA imports ACIS .sat files anyway. The CATIA/NX/ProE/Parasolid interop is primarily for the benefit of import into Shark rather than export, all of those programs import .sat and STEP, exporting the proprietary formats doesn't carry history or feature tree, there's no innate benefit.

Ok cheers, we only have certain licenses and most of the time not the step license, so it would need to be a proper catpart, but it doesn't explain why I can't load the file in? Cheers
