Hi,
I work with ViaCad 10 pro and in the past I could place an object or whatever above the grid (with the Z position).

Hello
The grid locates on the origin of the workplane, so if your workplane is above the object that is where the grid will display.
Use the workplane --> set origin

Theo Can you post that sample file, and list the steps you used to turn the grid on and create the geometry. Thanks Jason

Hi Jason,
I can post a sample file, I can take all files, no matter which one, all the same problem.
I notice that if you open my file it will be opened in your ViaCad program and perhaps there is no problem at yours.
So I will attach 1 files and a few images the way it looks on my computer.
Thanks, Theo

Hi, In the previous post you can see with picture no.4 that the bold is created above the grid but the top-view shows also grid over it.. Kind regards, Theo

Can you check that your View : Shade Options : Zuffer Curves is enabled?
