I am growing frustrated to the point of molecularly discombobulating thanks to either AutoCAD or my sheer ignorance with regard to Visual Styles between model space views viewed and viewports that will be printed. If anyone there knows of the feeling, then you might want to talk-up some good things about ViaCAD. What I unashamedly LOVE about VC is that in 3D i can connect a line to point, then start moving that point off into space or toward some destination, and then, midstream, change the view from front/side/top/bottom/etc to another view and NOT LOSE FOCUS nor EXISTENCE of the line i have in play. In AutoCAD, i am finding that clicking on an icon to change views just aborts the line. Yes, i realise i can click on shift-key, middle-click mouse button and move around/orbit points of interest, but when i forget to do that i become downright irritated that they haven't just modified that. Sometimes it's useful to have a pre-defined view or use the defaults without actually panning around, yet keep the line in play. Also, the default colors in VC are gentle enough on my eyes that i don't really have to futz around with changing much in early stages. In AC, i find that displaying in Real, or Conceptual just are an exercise in frustration for me when having too many choices of dealing with 3D hidden (sphere not showing) and 3D wire mode (where the sphere does show).... I hope i have enough money to get VC Pro at the end of the year...
