Hi,

I have just purchased the power pack however no idea how to use mesh into NURBS tool. I imported a polygon based 3d object into viacad 9 then I converted it into quad surface afterwards I launched the Mesh into NURBS command but nothing happened I have got an icon that indicated a green surface with red points on it. The imported object was a surface not a solid object.

I have just purchased Viacad with PP and also would love to see a video on converting 3d scan mesh to a nurbs surface.

The Mesh to Analytic and SubD Mesh to NURB is in PowerPack Pro. It is not in PowerPack LT or PowerPack. Documention regarding the three versions can be found at this link.

PowerPack Pro docs start at this link.

When converting a scan into a NURB, you will likely need to do retopology on the scanned mesh. The "Retopology" video at this link shows that workflow.

The largest SUBD mesh that I have converted into a solid was about 2 Million quads. Took a bit of crunch time. You can see a picture at here.
