Tim and group,

The behavior of matching the end face of a cylinder to the outside surface of another cylinder should get upgraded or give us options to the match face.

When I do the match face, the end face matches to the opposite end of the intersecting cylinder which requires more commands to match it to the first close face.

The goal is to match it to the outside surface without having to do an extrusion. Before, I could extend the end face inside the other cylinder and then do a match surface picking the closest outside surface but now in V9 this behavior doesn't happen and instead matches it to the opposite side of the cylinder. See picture.

This would make life easy than having to do more commands.

If anyone has suggestions, please do.

-Ernesto

Hi Ernesto

Is the Reverse Match Face option of any help? This matches to the other side of the cylinder.

Tim

It sure does. LOL. Where was this on the manual? Maybe buried in the fine print.

How about putting it up on the dialog page? I would not have guessed that or known about it.

Cheers!
