I do get a text following along the arc using the "along curve text" tool, but no matter what I try, it 'll always be mirrored or on the inside, or correct shown, but on the inside. I need it to curve on the outside, actually just like the symbol of the tool. Also, how can I move the text on the arc, so I can reposition it? If I move the gripper, only the gripper moves to another location.

Hello Can you post a pic of the text issue? What build of V9 are you using? You can try to change direction of the curve and then resolve links to see if that correct it. The text can be moved by adding spaces in front of the text. Regards Jason

Thanks for the reply. The "change direction" did indeed work, but only to a certain extend. If you then turn the circle, it will mirror to the other side again (see video). If you then change the direction again, it will jump to a completely different area of the circle. It's impossible to bring it where you want.
The suggestion of using spaces to get it to the right place is a work around. That can't be a serious, intended, workable solution. In Illustrator, you can drag a line that is in front of the text along the arc to change the location of the text.

The behavior you describe seems to only be on closed curves (circle). If I use an open curve the text behaves as expected. The tool places the text on the beginning of the curve and the text becomes associative to the curve. Can you place your curve (arc) where you want and then add the text? Regards Jason

Ah, that works for me. Using the Point Arc tool, it does work. Using the Data tab in the Inspector and changing the start angle, I'm actually able to move it to the right place. I've put the arc on another layer, which I can turn on/off, so the arc is not visible anymore, but the text is (as they can be on two different layers). Thanks for the help.
