Hi I have a suggestion for two simple tools for wood working: mortis and tenon Pocket hole / dowel thru bolt / screw this would give your woodworking package even more appeal and speed for production shops like mine. Thanks JB

I'll add these to the potential list of woodworking features. I think the pocket hole could be derived quickly from our through hole by two points feature.

Pocket holes set up should probably have these settings: number holes- cursor placement could snap to a end point or mid point? But most my connections have two pocket holes 1/2" from edge with a spacing of 2" on a 2x4 hole spacing- screw dia / hole dia- material thickness- this would be a simple calc to determine angle of pocket hole BOM add of screw size and count? BTW a standard pocket hole has a 3/8" counter bore of approximately 1" to 3/4" then it has bore of 1/8" that travels thru the centerline of the perpendicular plane.
So when i enter my settings I get my hole backwards.
Here is a pic where I am trying to get it to work. you can see my pocket hole though it looks correct- it does not face the proper edge and the angle is wrong.

Ok I figured out how to place the x, y orientation of pocket hole. NOw though when I choose my two points I need to the angle of the drill. I need my first point aligned with back edge but also above it on the z-axis sO I can achieve that 15 degree / 20 degree angle.

JB – I'm going to second your suggestion for both the Pocket Screw / Dowel and Mortise-and-Tenon tool. These would make my work much easier as well. Thanks.

Hi JB – do you have a method that you'd be willing to share, for how you create Mortise and tenon joints?
Thanks
