Hi all,

I currently use Viacad 2d3d V9 and am pondering the possibility of an upgrade to Shark LT for reasons of being able to edit a portion of a model and having it update the entire model. I am unable to do this in Viacad once I extrude a profile. In order to update, I need to basically redraw the profile and re-extrude it with the updated portions.

Does Shark LT allow someone to edit features of an already-extruded profile?

Regards,

Kyle

You should be able to do this with ViaCAD 2D3D. If you can post your file with steps, we can hopefully determine why it is not regenerating.

Be sure to have Auto Regen on in Preferences.

Hi Tim,

When I do it, it says not able to Auto Regen. I will check my preferences tonight and try it out. This would be lovely if I'm able to modify in my ViaCad 2d3d!

Hi Tim,

I tried modifying the original 2D profile and it did not update the 3D model. I got an error and it said "Unable to regen." I have enable auto resolve checked in preferences.

Any help would be wonderful.

Regards,

Kyle

Hi Kyle
If you can post the 2D profile and describe you modification that would help track this down.

Note the modification needs to retain a closed profile for the regen to be successful.
