At first, I thought this was just my imagination, but my win-7-based SLT V 8.0.3 (Build 1016) install-based model has been experiencing random color changes.
I do not regularly put the machine online (last time was maybe half to a full month ago), and the color changes have been happening for over a month.
I suspected it may have been related to some colored surfaces being used for cutting, but these color changes happen to geometry that was created 2 months ago.
I set some colors, save the file, periodically, then sometimes close the file and reopen it to free up resources, or sometimes if the file crashes, I reboot windows.
It is really becoming stressful because it is creating a lot of extra work that prefer to not have to do. I cannot recall having experienced this issue in all my years of using SLT (since ~ 2011/2012).
Few if any of my layers have layer color overrides applied. Virtually everything is object-color-specific, in other words.
Any ideas? Any suggestions? I'm already trying compacting the file and dissociating some geometry.
Thanks!
Additional info/update
Also, related to this problem is that that select mask filter fails because the visible color (that changed without my direct input) does not match the underlying color. This forces me to turn on ALL the colors, which increases the amount of geometry to be skipped around when taking advantage of the ambiguity selection feature.
